It not only does that but also can show the nerves, maxillary, mandibular sinuses and other anatomical landmarks. It does not take a long time, and has very little radiation exposure. CT scanning is a great aid to diagnosis periodontal and or implantology services.

Panoramic films belong to the extraoral category of dental x-rays because the film is outside the mouth.
